G.I. Joe Fan Club Details

IMPORTANT:  This space will evolve as registration progresses, important issues need to be addressed, and if membership exceeds projections (therefore more options and benefits).  A final version of this verbiage will be emailed to members signifying the 2022 offerings will proceed and members will know exactly what to expect (should the registration process require further clarification or changes are made to benefit the project as a whole). 

Thank you for registering for the G.I. Joe Fan Club (GIJFC)!  This inaugural year is very much a building process and every opportunity is contingent on membership growth and contributions.  It's an "ALL or NOTHING" project.  If this project does not achieve viable membership numbers, payments will be refunded, options will be discussed among the community, and perhaps an alternative package will be submitted for a second round.  But thinking positively, this project was designed to give collectors as much value as possible given the lack of traditional action figure offerings.

Once the initial membership block is closed, fans may still register for 2022 Membership at additional costs and potentially a modified package.  It is highly likely that, due to the custom nature of some membership items, those  post-registration items will ship at the end of year to maximize quantities at minimized costs.  GIJFC items are not necessarily made to order.

Once registration ends and membership is sufficient to move forward, the information collected will be submitted to the proper vendors and the 2022 membership kit will be sent to members once all items have been received and packaged at GIJFC HQ.  Turnaround time should be inside of two months after registration ends and updates will be relayed whether tasks are running ahead or behind schedule. Subsequent newsletters beyond the introductory issue will be shipped throughout the subscription year.  We hope to get the 2022 newsletters shipped inside of 2022, so that 2023 registration can begin on schedule. However, time will tell what type of hurdles a periodic subscription will bring. 

The newsletter is laid out as 4 issues with at least 16 pages each.  There have already been some amazing submissions from the community's wide array of experts in all fields.  Page count is contingent on membership count (funds) and content submitted.  If you are interested in submitting a piece, please contact the GIJFC at admin@gijoefanclub.com.  It is possible that any given newsletter may be under or over 16 pages. Essentially the 2022 membership includes 64 pages of newsletter content and if any issue falls short of 16 pages a subsequent issues will make up difference.  Additional content will also be provided on the website's members-only section as well as some introductory free content to non-members. 

GIJFC staff and newsletter contributors will all be recognized for their hard work and submissions.  The final website will include a contributors section and each newsletter will include a QR Code to their respected contributor biography along with their latest projects.  We are always looking for contributors so don't hesitate to reach out! 

The GIJFC will offer a members' only exclusive store with some amazing items.  Initial offerings will be shown during registration.  All store items will be readily available for members to purchase in addition to the membership package.  Store items will be available as preorders only and as an "all or nothing" model, so members will vote with their wallets.  A limited additional amount of any fully funded item will be available beyond the preordered amount.

In regards to additional features like the forums, there is no set timeline to include them.  Projects such as a forum are not outside the scope of the GIJFC staff but a new project nonetheless.  A measure of patience is included in your membership fee and the GIJFC is certain that patience and good faith will be rewarded. Contests will be held at the end of 2022 but submissions can be sent any time.  The five categories are:  customs, diorama, photography, art, and costuming.  Since these items will be judged online, it will be the responsibility of the member to submit as many angles a possible to best represent their work as well as quality images that accurately show the dedication they have applied to their craft.  All submissions will be reviewed and presented for a potential award but subpar image quality may disqualify submissions from the newsletter. Submissions will be taken once the final websites' foundation has been implemented.  The GIJFC looks forward to some amazing submissions!!

Once the registration window is closed, all sales are final.  PayPal was chosen as the payment collector to minimize membership costs.  Any unauthorized PayPal chargebacks submitted by a member will incur penalty fees upon that member by the GIJFC.  Such chargebacks will prohibit that member from future participation in any activities held by or associated with the GIJFC.  Once the member has paid the penalty fees, the GIJFC may reconsider the member for reenrollment.  We're all here to have fun.  If there is an issue, contact the GIJFC at admin@gijoefanclub.com and get it resolved without third party agencies.  Additional third-party costs are not fun for anyone.

It is each member's responsibility to inform the GIJFC of any address changes. and Any address changes are not considered acknowledged until confirmed by the GUFC.  Please allow for a reasonable amount of time  for the GIJFC to acknowledge and process address changes so newsletters are shipped to the appropriate address.  Address changes may be submitted to admin@gijoefanclub.com.  Also, please follow up within two subsequent weeks if your change of address has not been acknowledged with a confirmation email.
